Dra. Vicki Belo, issues an apology to Boy Abunda
A lot of celebrities reacted to Vicki Belo’s statement [read article here] regarding The Buzz and SNN host Boy Abunda. Boy’s close friend Ruffa Gutierrez and talents Mariel Rodriguez and Ai-ai Delas Alas were all dismayed with what the doctor said. Even Philippine Star Entertainment editor Ricky Lo commented that Vicki’s statement wasn’t becoming of a doctor.
The Doctor to the Stars was quick though to apologize for her behavior. In her text message to Boy Abunda, Dra. Belo said she hopes that Boy would be able to forgive her.
Here’s Vicki Belo’s entire message to Boy Abunda:
“Hi Boy. This is Vicki Belo. I’d just like to apologize for the statement I made at Showbiz Central. I’m really sorry if I offended you. Hope you can accept my apology.”
As of press time, Boy has yet to issue a reply to her apology.

ABS-CBN partners with Precious Heart Romances
In its tradition of bringing the best drama series on television, ABS-CBN has partnered with Precious Heart Romances in coming up with teleseryes based on well-loved romance novels. The Kapamilya network and one of the leading publishers of romance pocket books have signed the deal last February 12. Present in the contract signing were ABS-CBN Head for TV Production Cory V. Vidanes, Direk Lauren Dyogi Precious Heart Romances Publisher Jun Matias, and Precious Heart Editor-in-Chief Edith Garcia.
Direk Lauren will be spearheading this project and he talked about what viewers can expect from these stories. “First time ito for ABS-CBN that we acquired lots of titles para gawing teleserye. Gagawin natin ang ‘Bud Brothers’ na isinulat ni Rose Tan at ‘Kristine’ na isinulat ni Martha Cecilia. Usong uso naman ngayon ‘yung libro na ginagawang TV series o pelikula tulad ng Harry Potter at Twilight. Maraming elemento sa libro ang sigurado akong magugustuhan ng mga tao kapag napanood nila sa TV. ‘Yung mga libro nina Rose Tan, Martha Cecilia, at iba pang writers, binabasa mo pa lang nakikita mo na kung paano siya lalabas sa telebisyon. Ang lakas ng kilig, ng romance element, kaya maraming makaka-relate.”
Publisher Jun Matias said that he is honored with the trust that ABS-CBN gave to their books. “Masaya kami. Noong una pa lang, sa 18 years ng Precious Heart, nakikita ko nang may potential ang mga books namin na magawa into TV or movie. I think now it’s about time kasi malaki talaga ang market ng romance pocket books. Hindi ako naniniwalang hindi nagbabasa ang Pinoy kasi ang sales namin sa Precious Heart, kahit wala kaming promo, bumebenta kami. Also most of Hollywood films ngayon based na rin sa mga books. Ngayon may market na ang mga books namin, confident kami at ang ABS-CBN na may makukuha market sa TV.”
Matias added that he is very confident ABS-CBN will do justice in translating their pocket book stories into teleserye. “We trust ABS-CBN. Malaki na ang napatunayan nila. Thankful din naman kami that ABS-CBN trusted us. Of course may mga technicalities na dapat i-adjust pero open naman kami doon. Basta nandun pa rin ‘yung essence ng story which I’m sure hindi pababayaan ng ABS-CBN.”

Toni Gonzaga, excited over her first Maalaala Mo Kaya role
Paghahanda na para sa pagsabak niya sa mga heavy drama roles sa pelikula ang paglabas ni Toni Gonzaga sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon sa award-winning drama anthology show ni Charo Santos-Concio, na Maalala Mo Kaya. Mapapanood na ngayong Sabado ng gabi pagkatapos ng Komiks Presents Flash Bomba ang episode na iyon. “Siyempre lahat naman ng mga artista pangarap nilang makagawa ng lahat ng klase ng role at pelikula. So, pangarap talaga ‘yun,” bungad ni Toni. ”Wala naman ako’ng dream na dream talaga na gustong gawin na straight drama movie. Basta mabigyan lang ng proyekto, pelikula masaya na ako. Siyempre ’yung bagay naman sa akin. Mahirap naman ’yung hindi babagay din sa akin baka magulat ang mga tao.”
Masaya si Toni dahil finally makakalabas na siya sa Maalaala Mo Kaya. ”Ay, siyempre MMK ‘yun! Ang tagal ko nang naka-scheudle. Siguro kakalipat ko pa lang naka-ilang schedule na ako for MMK. Kaya lang it just happens na hindi magkatagpo. Kung sinu-sino pa ang naging partner ko noon. Pero hindi natutuloy. First time ko talaga. Sa tinagal-tagal ko, three years na ako sa ABS-CBN ngayon lang ako nag-MMK.” Naunahan pa siya ng ibang artistang galing din sa GMA7 na lumipat sa ABS-CBN gaya ni Angel Locsin. ”Oo, lahat nga nagawa na nila ako na lang hindi. Kasi wala naman ako’ng masyadong pinagkakaabalahan. Nag-sakto lahat. Eh, noon kasi may hosting, may TV shows. Pangatlong offer na nila ito sa akin. So, buti naman natuloy na siya.”
Shinare pa ni Toni kung ano ang gagampanan niya sa drama anthology. “More or less story ng isang babae na namatay ang first love niya. And it just so happens for some weird reasons may nakilala siyang lalaki na pareho ng pangalan, pareho ng mannerism. Parang nabuhay tuloy ‘yung first love niya doon sa lalalaking ‘yun. Pareho pa ng pangalan. ‘Yung birthday nung una March 21, day din nu’ng namatay. Itong nakilala niya March 22. Halos magkaedad tapos parehong PMA. Halos pareong-pareho. Nagulat nga ako. Nangyayari pala ‘yun sa totoong buhay. Akala ko noong una ‘yung iba dagdag na lang pero hindi. Ganun talaga. May mga ganoon.”
Mahirap pero ganun pa man happy si Toni sa experience niya sa MMK. “Siyempre MMK may acting moments talaga. Ang hirap-hirap, talagang drama. Natuwa ako kasi lahat sila very supportive. Matulungin sila lahat talaga. Inaalayan ka sa lahat ng eksena. Tapos mababait ang mga kasama ko. Inaalayayan ako nina Jason (Abalos) at Ryan Eigenmann. Ang saya-saya. Parang lahat ng pagod ko nawala. Parang noong natapos namin ang shooting sulit lahat ng pagod. Kasi inabot ng umaga. Dalawang araw ‘yun. Inumaga kami. Nasulit dahil ang gaganda ng eksena. Ang ganda rin ng mga kuha ni Direk (Dado Lumibao) parang pelikula. Tapos ang nag-ilaw pa sa amin si Neil Daza. Oh, sosyal! Sabi ko nga, ‘Ay, movie pala ‘to.’”
Natawa si Toni nang tanungin siya ng ABS-CBN.com kung hoping ba siyang magkaroon ng award sa episode na ito. “Yes, naku yes, o! (laughs) Hindi. Sa panaginip ko yes. Pero marami pa ako’ng dapat matutunan. Dadating din tayo du’n kapag nasa tamang edad. Kailangan ko pa ng matagal na panahon para magka-award.” Dream ba niya ang manalo ng acting award? “Oo naman ‘no. Masya na nga ako sa nakuha ko’ng award noon ‘di ba? Best Host tapos nagkaroon din ako sa Guillermo ng Princess of Philppiine movies. Tapos binigayn ako ng Aliw ng Best Emccee. Marami-rami na rin. Nakaka-overwhelm ‘yung mga awards na nakuha ko. ‘Tsaka nakuha ko lahat ‘yun nu’ng llumipat ako sa ABS-CB. Kaya ang laki ng pasasalmat ko na talagang na-mold talaga ako although malaki rin ang pasasalamat ko sa Eat Bulaga dahil sila ‘yung nagbigay sa akin ng break at saka nag-train sa akin. Kaya lahat naging training process.”
Kasabay ng pagpapalabas ng epsidoe ni Toni sa MMK ang selebrasyon ng Araw ng mga Puso. Paano nila ise-celebrate ang Valentine’s day this year ng boyfriend niya na si Direk Paul Soriano? “Kasi si Paul hindi siya nagpapa-reserve. Nanunurprise lang siya. Hindi niya kailangang magtanong o magpa-book ng schedule. Alam niya agad ang schedule kay Mommy Pinty. Sila ang magka-connive sa schedule. Hindi siya nagtatanong sa akin. Kaya wala ako’ng idea. Maganda nga ‘yon para ma-surprise na lang ako.” Nage- expect ba siya ng something very, very special sa Valentine’s date nila nI Direk Paul? “Of course. Naku! Of course daw o. (laughs). Second Valentine’s Day namin ito. Nu’ng unang Valentine’s Day sa Alabang, malapit sa bahay nila. Actually, family day muna siya. Nakasama namin ang mga kapatid niya nu’ng hapon. Tapos nag-dinner kami nu’ng gabi. Kaming dalawa lang sa isang fancy restaurant sa Alabang. So, ayun, kasi ‘di ba taga-East ako. Hindi naman ako nagagawi sa South. Kaya pinakain niya ako sa isang magandang restaurant sa south. Ano ba ‘ng gift niya? Ang dami kasing binibigay noon, eh. Siguro may gift siya pero nakalimutan ko. But of course, may card at saka roses. ‘Yung material nakalimutan ko na.”
Samantala, nagbigay ng kanyang pahayag si Toni sa sinabi ni Kris Aquino sa kanya particular na ang tungkol sa panaginip ng Queen of Talk. “Actually, last year ko pa alam ang story na ‘yan. Ang tagal-tagal na. Alam ko ‘yun. Matagal na niyang napanginipan ‘yan. Nagulat nga ako kay Ate Kris na-share niya ‘yun sa press, e. Nagulat nga ako. Sabi ko, ‘Ate Kris, ano ba ‘yan?’ Tapos sabi niya talaga, ‘Hindi, papalitan mo talaga ako sa mga show.’ Sabi ko ko, ‘Hindi. Walang papalit sa ‘yo. Ikaw pa?’” Pero kahit paano ba may pumasok sa isip niya na posible rin talaga ang sinasabi ni Kris na papalitan niya ang TV host/actress? “Hindi, syempre ang kapal naman ng mukha ko kung magkaroon ka ng ganu’ng thinking. ‘Yung mga na-achieve ni Ate Kris pangarap mo kahit papano maka-experience ka rin ng ganu’n. Dahil ang sarap din ng feeling na mapagkatiwalaan ka ng sarili mo’ng show, game show. At saka ang tagal-tagal mo na industrya hindi ka kumukupas.” Natawa rin si Toni sa pag-iyak daw ni Kris sa panaginip na ito. “Oo nga, Ito talaga si Ate (Kris). No, siguro sa industrya na ito hindi mawawala ang takot na laging may bagong darating. Kahit naman ako dahil syempre hindi naman ako bumabata. Tumatanda na rin ako kahit paano. Hindi na pwede ‘yung OA-OA na pa-tweetums. Kasi ginagawa na ni Kim Chui ‘yun. Kahit paano dapat nag-elevate ka na sa next level. So, may fear na ano, kung ttatanggapin ka pa, kung magtatatagal ka pa. Kaya you always try to reinvent. Pero hindi ko naman sinasabi na maghuhubad ako. ‘Yun ang reinvention na hindi ko kayang kayang gawin. ‘Yung try to do some thing new and offer the people something else. So, you never stop learning.”
Sinabi ni Toni na she has really learned a lot from other hosts in the industry kaya natutuwa siyang malaman na naappreciate ni Kris ang mga efforts niya. “Wow! Siyempre ‘no I learned from the best. Ang dami ko’ng pinanggalingan na show na ang gagaling ng mga host na mga TVJ (Tito, Vic and Joey). Mga beterano, o. So, natutuo ako doon. Dito sa ABS nag-host ako sa ilang mga programa kasama ko mga beterano. Sina Kuya Roderick (Paulate), si Ate Amy (Perez), sa ASAP si Kuya Gary (Valenciano), Kuya Martin (Nieverra). Nakakatulong kasi ang hindi nila alam ‘pag behind the scene pinapanood ko sila. Ay ino-observe ko sila. Kaya kapag sumasali ako sa game show like ‘(Pilipinas) Game Ka Na Ba?’ at ano, hindi ako nakakasagot. Kasi nanonood lang ako. Kaya si Ate Kris dati naalala ko, ‘Hindi ka sumasagot.’ Nawala sa isip ko. Nanood ako. Nag-observe ako. So, kasi nag-aaral ako. Pinag-aaralan ko,” tapos ni Toni.

Charo imbitado sa Oscars
Imbitado sa prestihiyosong 81st Academy Awards o Oscar Awards si ABS-CBN President at COO Charo
Santos-Concio sa February 23 sa Kodak Theatre sa Hollywood & Highland Center.
A self-confessed movie buff, Charo will be attending the event with other distinguished filmmakers and esteemed actors from all over the world.
Ang ABS-CBN ang magpapalabas ng eksklusibong live telecast ng awards night dito sa Pilipinas along with its other channels, Velvet at Studio 23.
Si Hugh Jackman (ng pelikulang X-men) ang tatayong host sa awards rites na mapapanood nang live sa ABS-CBN sa February 23, 9:45 a.m.
Samantala, ang kumpletong coverage naman ay ipapalabas via satellite sa Velvet Sky Cable channel 53 simula 7 a.m. ng Feb. 23 hanggang sa main awarding na magsisimula ng 9:30 a.m.
Para magkaroon ng pagkakataong mapanood muli, ang Velvet ay may primetime encore telecast sa nasabing araw, 6 p.m., at weekend encore telecast naman ng kumpletong coverage sa Feb. 28, 3:30 p.m.
Ang Studio 23 ang magsasahimpapawid ng unang primetime telecast ng Oscar Awards sa free-to-air television sa Feb. 28. 7 p.m.

Vice Ganda nilait si Bebe Gandanghari?
Naging kontrobersyal ang mga comedy bar host at komedyanteng si Vice Ganda sa mga binitiwan niyang salita laban kay Bebe Gandanghari. Lumabas kamakailan na sinabihan niya ng pangit at baduy si Bebe pero madiing itinanggi ni Vice na may sinabi siya na pangit si BB Gandanghari. “May mga part na totoo kaya lang ‘yung iba parang it was blown out of proportion. Parang baka na-misinterpret. Malala kasi kapag binasa mo, eh. Meron pa nga na nakasulat na pangit si Bebe. I wouldn’t say that. Hindi naman pangit si Bebe. Although may kabaduyan ng slight kasi parang yung mga bakla ang tingin nila parang ang 80’s ng dating. Kaya nabaduyan ang mga bakla ‘di ba,” simula ni Vice Ganda.
Nagkwento na tuloy si Vice tungkol sa ilang feedback na narinig niya from the gay community about Bebe. “Ako, sa circle of friends ko, mostly doon sa mga kaibigan ko lahat kami nabigla. ‘Ha?!’ Parang okay na kasi sa amin ‘yung Rustom na nag-out. Rustom na bading. Pero ‘yung bago na ‘yung hindi na siya Rustom, na Bebe na babae, ‘di ba ‘yun ang claim niya? Bebe is a woman? Doon kami naloka parang naloka na agad ang mga bakla, Tapos hindi masyadong positive ‘yung dating sa mga bakla. Tapos naging tukso na ’yung Bebe. ‘Di ba ‘yung mga bakla kapag sa kalsada ang daming tags? Ngayon ang pinaka-latest na tag ‘yung Bebe. Kahit ako nga rin, ‘Bebe! Bebe!’ Niloloko ko na nga lang. ‘Ano ‘yun? Kabayo na nga, bibi pa?!’ Ang hirap naman noon kabayo ka na, bibi ka pa. Ang hirap tumakbo ng kabayo kapag bibi ka ‘di ba? Hahaha!”
So sa tingin ba ni Vice ay hindi tanggap si Bebe ng ibang mga gays? Umiling ang komedyante sa tanong na ito. “Hindi naman sa hindi tinanggap. Eh, kasi paano mo naman tatanggapin kahit siya hindi niya kini-claim na bakla siya. Ang kini-claim niya babae siya. Bebe is a woman. ‘Yun ang malaking question sa amin. Hindi siya proud na bading. Hindi niya kini-claim na bading siya. Si Rustom (Padilla) nag-bakla pero hindi na kasi siya si Rustom. Ako ang point of view ko kung doon siya masaya okey lang. Kaya lang nakaka-ano lang parang hindi siya proud na bading siya kasi nga hindi niya tinatanggap na bading siya. ‘Di ba at first dineny niya na hindi siya bading.
Sinasabi niya lalaki siya. In denial siya. Tapos ngayon naman hindi na siya bakla, babae na siya. So, ayaw niya talaga ‘yung bakla, Nilalamapasan niya. Doon siya nane-nega sa mga bakla.”
Kung babae na si Bebe, naniniwala siya na nagpalit na ng gender ang dating aktor na si Rustom? “Yun nga ang sinabi niya I’m a woman. Nu’ng tinanong siya sa isang show napanood namin kung nagpa-transgender na siya. Tapos ang sagot niya ‘no comment’. Kung trans gender ka maging proud ka. Ginawa mo ‘yun, e. Desisyon mo ‘yun, eh. Tapos sasabihin mo pero kung hindi eh, hindi rin. Although pwede na siguro ngayong palitan ang birth certificate. Pwede ng ilagay sa gender mo female kung nagpa-transplant ka. Pero hindi naman niya inamin na nagpa-transplant siya, eh.”
Medyo duda nga raw ang iba pang kasamahan ni Vice na nag-aral nga ng modeling si Bebe sa New York. “Pwede, pwede naman siyang mag-aral ng modelling sa New York . Pero ‘yun nga, natatawa ang mga bakla. Actually, nagiging biruan nu’ng mga bading, nag-modeling school siya sa New York bakit magmo-mdoela? Ano ba ang purpose ng modeling school? Magmo-modelo ‘di ba? Ngayon siya magmo-model, eh, nasa 40’s na siya. Di ba medyo may edad na for a model? E, ‘di ba sa States nga ‘pag 18 ka medyo wala ka nang project kasi ang babata ng mga model, 14, 16. Eh, ’di more so kung 40s?”
Totoo ba na i-spoof niya sa kanyang Valentine show na “Queen of Hearts: Vice Ganda” on February 13 sa Metrobar West Avenue , Quezon City si Bebe? “Dahil sa sobrang init nga ng isyu nu’ng Bebe Gandanghari, na-inspire kaming gawing part ‘yung show ko sa Feb 13 and 14 sa Metro bar. Merong part na i-spoof namin siya. Spoof ba ang tawag doon? Siguro ganu’n na nga. Pero hindi naman namin, hindi naman Bebe- bashing ang gagawin namin. Kasi mainit, eh. Tsaka ng dami ring interesado sa kanya ‘di ba?” Invited naman daw si Bebe to grace the occasion. “Oo! Kung pwede saana pumunta nga siya. I’d love to see her there watching me.”
Hindi naman daw kaya may naii-insecure lang kay Bebe? “Well, may mga taong pwedeng ma-insecure dahil like what I’ve said maganda si Bb. Pwedeng ma-insecure ‘di ba? Pero maaring meron ding masabi ang ibang tao ng hindi magaganda. Pero na kay Rustom, na kay Bebe na ‘yun if he’s going to take it positively or what. Pero mas maganda if we take criticisms positively ‘di ba? Katulad nu’ng mga baduy-baduy. Hindi naman baduy. Sabi ko nga feeling ko mahal ‘yung mga sinuot, na-mismatch lang. Oo, ‘di ba?” Pero nu’ng buhay pa si Rusto type ba niya? “Super love ko ‘yung Rsutom noon. ’Yung buhay na Rustom bago pa pinatay. Hahaha! Sino ba ang pumatay kay Rustom? Ang daming ano, I myself am a fan of Rustom ano. So, sobrang like ko. Kahit ‘yung Rustom na nag-bading after PBB? Fan pa rin ako noon. Oo, nagka-crush ako kay Rustom lalo na nu’ng lumabas siya sa ‘Mistah.’ So, feeling ko Bb kapag nanood ka ng ‘Mistah’ magka-crush ka kay Rustom. For Rustom is such a hunk.”
Paano kung awayin si Vice ng mga kapatid ni Bebe? “Feeling ko hindi. Kasi si Rustom ang kapatid nila at hindi si Bebe. Hahaha! Ngayon hahanapin ko pa kung saan nakatira ang mga Gandanghari. Pero ‘yung mga Padillas alam ko. ‘Yung mga Gandanghari hindi ko kilala.” Di rin naman daw takot si Vice if ever mag-krus ang landas nila ni Bebe. “Wala, eh, feeling ko naman kasi suplada siya. Pero I will say hi. Natutuwa naman ako maganda talaga siya. Nakaka-‘Huh?!’ din, ‘Ang ganda ‘no.’ Bago ko pa na-appreciate ‘yung ganda nabigla na ako. Sobrang abrupt.”
Samantala, natutuwang ibinalita ni Vice na gagawin ng Maalaala Mo Kaya ang kanyang lifestory. What if si Bebe ang gumanap ng kwento niya sa MMK? “Okay lang. kaya lang nasa 40s na siya, eh. Siyempre gusto ko naman mas younger. ‘Tsaka hindi niya tatangapin ‘yon. Siyempre gusto ko rin na ako. Kaya lang siyempre baka hindi niya ako like kaya baka hindi niya tanggapin ang role.”
Sa bandang huli ay wish na lamang ni Vice na maging happy si Rustom sa ano mang ginagawa niya. “Kay Rustom i-enjoy lang niya kung ano ang ginagawa niya. Kasi wala namang saysay din kung ano ang sinasabi ng mga tao. Ang importante kumportable siya, masaya siya. Deadmahin niya ‘yung mga naririnig niya. Kahit naman ako ang say ko wala namang relevance ‘yun, e. Ang importante kung ano talaga ang nararamdmaan niya."

Jana Dominguez, 1st Ultimo Participante?
Two weeks before the finals of ABS-CBN’s Pinoy Fear Factor, rumors has it that the First El Ultimo Participante is…no, not Manuel Chua who is known for his Fear Factor World Records, but the sexy comedy host Janna Dominguez.
According to Remate columnist Francis Simeon, he remembered Cristine Reyes saying, “Dapat si Janna nga ang manlibre kasi siya ang winner ng Pinoy Fear Factor,” during the presscon of her Kapamilya soap drama Eva Fonda where Janna is also one of the casts.
Cristine laughed after she said it. Janna never said anything but just smiled on Cristine’s statement.

The Wedding
ABS-CBN greenlights the taping of the Anne Curtis and Zanjoe Marudo starrer, The Wedding.
The Wedding, directed by Jeffrey Jeturian (Bridal Shower, Kubrador), is a romantic dramedy series that will run on ABS-CBN’s primetime bida for only 8 weeks. It is set to premiere on the “wedding month” of June.
And an exciting love story will not be complete without the third wheel. Completing the triangle in the story is Derek Ramsay.
The Wedding revolves around Candice de Menes (played by Anne Curtis), a rich girl who will do anything to prevent her parents from separating. When nothing seems to work, she hatches a plan to become engaged to Marlon (played by Zanjoe Marudo), her parents’ common enemy, to try to bring them back together.
What was supposed to be Candice’s scheme develops into a whirlwind romance, and soon after, preparations for a real wedding go underway as Candice and Marlon prove their true love for each other.
But what if Candice’s first and great love Warren (played by Derek Ramsay), the one she wanted for so long, returns to claim her heart back? Will Marlon fall short in defending his love for Candice against the people who question it?
It is a whirlwind journey as Candice, Marlon and Warren find their way in their true selves and learn that love is much more complicated than simply falling for each other, specially when everyone has a stake in your happily-ever-after.
Kristine Hermosa is Mars Ravelo’s ‘Maruja’
Kristine Hermosa will play as Maruja by Mars Ravelo in an upcoming Sineserye on ABS-CBN 2.
The TV remake of Maruja will be based on the 1967 film starring Susan Roces and Romeo Vasquez. It is Mars Ravelo’s immortal love story about two people whose love for each other transcended a century.
Aside from Kristine, Maruja will also star John Estrada, Gloria Romero, Rafael Rosell, and the new Kapamilya Karylle.
In 1996, Viva Films produced a remake of the Maruja films that starred the popular love team of Carmina Villaroel and (the late) Rustom Padilla.
Aside from Maruja, Kristine Hermosa has another project on ABS-CBN entitled Ikaw Lamang, which reunites her with former love team Jericho Rosales.
Both Maruja and Ikaw Lamang are scheduled to be released this year.
Bugoy Drilon, too busy for his family?
Hindi nakayanan ni Bugoy ang damdamin nang personal siyang kausapin ng ABS-CBN. com sa launching ng kanyang bagong album ‘Paano Na Kaya’ kaugnay sa hindi niya pagdalaw sa kanyang pamilya at mga kaibigan sa Bicol. "Masama po talaga ang loob ko dahil hindi ko sila nakita nung Pasko at New Year. Hindi ako sanay na hindi ko kasama ang mga magulang ko kapag may ganung okasyon pero ano po ang magagawa ko, eh, marami po akong dapat na ayusin at hindi ko naman basta maiiwan yung mga showbiz commitments ko," pahayag ni Bugoy habang pinapahiran ang kanyang mga luha. "Wala naman po akong regrets kung hindi ko sila nakasama kaya lang siyempre bilang anak ay nalulungkot talaga ako dahil alam naman ninyo kung gaano ko sila kamahal at ginagawa kong lahat ito para sa aking pamilya dahil alam nila na kaya kong gawin lahat dahil sa laki ng aking pagmamahal at hindi ko sila puwedeng ipagpalit kahit na kanino kaya lang talagang ganito na siguro ang buhay ko dahil marami akong pangarap sa aking buhay."
Inamin ni Bugoy na October pa siya huling dumalaw sa Bicol na kung saan ay marami siyang naipangako sa kanyang pamilya. Sinabi rin ni Bugoy ang isa pa sa labis na ikinasasama ng kanyang loob ay hindi man lang niya nakita ang marami niyang kaibigan na sa tuwing sasapit ang Pasko ay kanyang nakakasama. Maraming beses na naming nakita kung paano umiyak si Bugoy pero sa lahat nang kanyang pag iyak ay noong gabing iyon nadala kami sa labis niyang pangungulila sa kanyan g mga magulang. "Oo nga po medyo pumayat po ako ngayon kasi hindi ako masyadong nakakatulog at konti lang ang pahinga ko dahil marami akong dapat gawin pero hindi naman po ako nagsisisi sa aking mga ginagawa at sa katunayan ay nagpapsalamt ako dahil binibigyan ako ng ganitong break ng Dos." Sinabi ni Bugoy na hindi matatapos ang buwan ay sisikapin niyang makauwi sa Bicol dahil nami-miss niya ang kanyang mga magulang at mga kaibigan. "Gusto kong magbakasyon. Gusto ko silang makita uli kahit sandali lang."
Sakabilang banda hindi rin tinitignan ni Bugoy na pagbawas sa kanyang pagkatao ang larawan niya sa kauna unahang album na ipinirudyos ng Star Record na kung saan lahat ng kanyang larawan ay nakatalikod o kung hindi man ay side view. "Okay lang po sa akin kung ganoon ang kuha nila sa akin dahil tanggap ko naman po kung ano lang ako, At saka sila ang higit na nakakaalam kung ano ang makakabuti sa akin actually nagpapsalamat nga ako dahil binigyan nila ako ng malaking tiwala at nagkaroon ako ng sarili kong album."

MYMP signs contract with Star Records
MYMP is now officially Kapamilya after signing a contract with Star Records, the music arm of ABS-CBN. During the contract signing last January 28, ABS-CBN.com spoke with guitarist Chin Alcantara and vocalist Juris Fernandez where the former expressed his excitement about becoming part of the Star Records family. “Masayang masaya kami kasi matagal na naming gustong makasama sa pamilya ng Star Records. Alam naming napakalaking kumpanya nito at malaki ang maitutulong nila sa career namin.”
MYMP’s first project under Star Records will be the debut solo album of Juris. Chin revealed that he was actually the one who initially thought about Juris trying it out on her own. “Ibang iba kasi kaka-sign lang ng MYMP pero solo album pala (laughs). Naka five albums na kasi kami. Sa akin nagsimula ‘yung idea and then nasabi namin sa manager namin. Para magamit ‘yung boses ni Juris ibang style of music ‘di tulad nung mga nagawa niya sa MYMP.”
Meanwhile, Juris is looking forward to her first solo CD whose production will be supervised by Chin. “Hindi naman entirely I’ll be alone on this project kasi nandiyan pa rin si Chin. Magiging hands on siya pagdating sa lahat ng decision regarding the album,” said Juris.
Chin and Juris are already working on the album, which is set to be released some time in March. The plan is to come up with an all-original album instead of just covering past hits. “Sa mga past albums namin kasi puro revivals. Nakakagawa naman kami ng original songs pero hindi masyadong nakikilala unlike ‘yung mga revivals namin. Gusto naming gumawa ng mga original songs na ire-release at ipo-promote talaga. Pipilitin naming maging all-original ‘yung album. Sa totoo lang mahirap ‘yun but we’ll try. Hindi siguro alam ng maraming tao pero si Juris talaga ang more of a songwriter. Ako lang ang nag a-arrange. Kung titingnan niyo ‘yung mga albums namin mas marami siyang nasulat na kanta,” said Chin.
Until the album hits the music stores, fans can see MYMP performing every Sunday in the Sessionistas segment of ASAP ‘09 together with Aiza Seguerra, Nina, Duncan Ramos, Sitti, and Richard Poon.
