Kim Chiu says it is hard to say goodbye to Tayong Dalawa

When Kim Chiu unexpectedly passed away in the recently-concluded teleserye Tayong Dalawa, the Kimerald fans and the rest of the Filipino viewers couldn’t help but feel crushed with such a tragic ending for her much-loved character, Audrey. Little did they know that Kim genuinely felt the pain of saying goodbye to her co-stars while taping her last few scenes in the show. Yun naman talaga ang nangyari kasi nararamdaman ko talaga yung lungkot ni Audrey dahil iiwan na niya yung minamahal niya in the same way na minahal ko din yung show namin,” she revealed in an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN.com during Tayong Dalawa’s farewell party last night at 55 Events Place in Quezon City.

Since Tayong Dalawa’s finale seemed to suggest a part two of a very unpredictable family saga, how does she feel knowing that she may not be able to join the powerhouse cast anymore?

Aside from the non-stop endorsements coming her way, the 20-year-old star was grateful because this project made her a certified dramatic actress and a teleserye princess to boot. “Ngayon mas confident na ako umarte,” she shyly admitted. But even though she agreed to do a love scene for the first time in this project, Kim stressed that she has no plan to pursue sexier roles anytime soon. Ayoko maging bold star! Gusto ko pa rin maging wholesome,” she exclaimed.

Fortunately for her loyal supporters, Kim happily announced that she would be having a movie with her long-time onscreen partner Gerald Anderson and another teleserye soon after that. A reliable source even shared with ABS-CBN.com that they would already start shooting by next week. “Pinaguusapan pa po pero sana matuloy. Magmu-movie muna kami sa ngayon. Hindi ko pa alam yung exact details. Siguro by next week pa mapag-uusapan kasi busy pa lahat ng tao ngayon,” she added.

For those who have closely worked with Kim, it’s actually no big surprise why Deo Endrinal’s business unit loves to tap her for most of their soaps because she is one of the few stars who looks forward to taping scenes round-the-clock. E kaysa magshopping (at mag-ubos ng kita) magtatrabaho na lang ako,” she added with a laugh.

Is the ABS-CBN management going to give her a bonus for a job well done in Tayong Dalawa?

Lovers in Paris, Mamaya na!!!

So ikaw? Ano bang reaksyon mo doon?

Willie Revillame Returns to Wowowee on Monday

After almost two months of absence, host Willie Revillame will be back to his noontime show Wowowee on September 21, 2009.

Willie Revillame confirmed his return to Wowowee on ABS-CBN’s primetime showbiz program SNN.

“Tuloy na ho ang pag-asa. Tuloy na ang saya,” he said.

Another controversy hounded Willie on last August 3, 2009 episode of Wowowee. In the show’s Willie of Fortune game segment, he spoke out against the insertion of a live broadcast on late President Cory Aquino’s funeral cortege. He said that he could not make people happy while the entire country was mourning the former president’s passing. The Alliance of Filipino Journalists immediately denounced his remarks as a sign of disrespect towards Aquino. Willie insists that he had no intention of defaming the former president and her family. As the controversy ballooned in the media, he went on indefinite leave and even considered to retire.

Willie thanked his co-hosts Mariel Rodriguez, Pokwang, Valerie Concepcion and the rest of Wowowee’s crew and guest hosts who handled the show during his absence.

In the TNS nationwide TV ratings for the second week of August to present, Wowowee remained the no. 1 daytime program despite Willie’s absence.

Angelica Panganiban Topbills ABS-CBN’s ‘Rubi’

It’s go signal for Angelica Panganiban’s first starring role in a tv series – the ABS-CBN remake of the telenovela “Rubi.”

After Maja Salvador, it’s now turn for Angelica Panganiban to star in a tv series of her own. ABS-CBN has just acquired the rights to remake the Mexican telenovela last month and contrary to rumors that Angelica’s first big role was shelved, they will now start the camera rolling for Rubi.

Angelica Panganiban will be paired with Diether Ocampo. Completing the main cast are Jake Cuenca and Shaina Magdayao who will play the role of “Maribel dela Fuente.”

The role of “Rubi” was first offered to Kristine Hermosa but the star of “Dahil May Isang Ikaw” declined.

Here’s the plot of Rubi:

RubĆ is a beautiful, charismatic young woman from a working-class background. She is studying at a university because of her sister’s great efforts. RubĆ is best friends with Maribel, a wealthy young woman with a small defect in her leg. RubĆ eventually meets Maribel’s boyfriend Hector and his best friend Alejandro. A much darker truth lies inside of RubĆ. She is driven by a dark ambition that will stop at nothing to get what she wants, and what she wants is to escape from poverty and be wealthy.

Fans of Gerald Anderson, Kim Chiu and Jake Cuenca clamor for more of Tayong Dalawa
