Immediately after Ruffa Gutierrez’ emotional good-bye yesterday on The Buzz, Kris Aquino herself has a share of an unexpected drama on the set. Aside from shedding tears for her co-host’s touching farewell message, Kris simply couldn’t contain the outburst of emotions with regard to the series of controversies that took place between them, which sadly dragged even the name of her brother, Senator Noynoy Aquino.
In between her sobs, Kris unexpectedly blurted a rather surprising revelation. Without further a due, she admitted that she’s actually having second thoughts with regard to her permanent slot in The Buzz. As she had put it to words, “Aamin po ako sa inyo, on my way here [at The Buzz], kausap ko tatlong kapatid kong babae, and I was saying I think I wanna say goodbye.”
According to Kris, the main reason behind this decision is actually the unending release of bad publicities concerning her, which greatly affects the name of her family as a whole. She said that she simply couldn’t take seeing her whole family affected because of her shortcomings, so she might as well take a leave while the heat is still on. She explained that she is very much willing to do the said sacrifice for her whole family’s sake, because as she herself claimed, “I’m not a brat when it comes to my family.”
Though her statement yesterday had proven her genuine intention to stand by her family’s defense, as of press time, there is still no concrete confirmation whether or not Kris will leave The Buzz.
