Late night viewing gets a new flavor starting March 15 with the upcoming late-night show, Music Uplate Live, which will be hosted by Pinoy Dream Academy first Grand Star Dreamer Yeng Constantino. This time, while nocturnal viewers can still get the chance to win prizes, they can also watch Yeng and their favorite bands and singers perform.
Being her first regular hosting stint, Yeng confessed that she is both excited and nervous. “Hindi naman po ako ipinanganak para maging host. Bata pa lang ako, alam ko musician (ang gusto). Nine years old pa lang ako nagsusulat na talaga ako ng songs,” she related. “As a host, bagong bagay ito para sa akin. Actually kinakabahan po ako.”
Yeng revealed that she is up to the challenge because she felt the need to get out of her comfort zone. “Parang na-feel ko na kailangan ko na ring gumawa ng ibang bagay. ‘Yung usual ko na lang ginagawa parang wala lang challenge na parang, ‘ah alam ko na ang gagawin ko,’” she said. It was a job that she earned because she actually fell in line and auditioned like everybody else. Getting the part convinced her that it is God’s perfect time of telling her to try new things. “Pero nakakaba talaga. Ngayon isasalang ako sa Monday nag-workshop na rin ako pero iba pa rin po kung nandun ka na. Iba pa rin po ‘yung gagawin ko, sobrang nae-excite din,” she said and added that she would face the mirror and practice at home, as if actually hosting the show.
