Komiks veteran Pablo S. Gomez dies

A day after Christmas, veteran komiks novelist Pablo S. Gomez passed away. He was 81.

Gomez died at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday at the Sta. Teresita Hospital in Quezon City after suffering a heart attack. His body is at St. Peter Mortuary Chapel, also in Quezon City, and is set to be cremated on December 30.

According to a family member, Gomez was deeply affected by the untimely death of his sister, Leonora, who passed away on Christmas Eve.

Gomez made his name in the komiks industry in the 1950s, and among his works that made it to the silver screen are Guy and Pip, Rosa Mistika, Magdusa Ka, Machete, Hilda, Kurdapya, Torkwatta and Susanang Daldal.

He was also a recognized screenwriter of films which starred the late Fernando Poe Jr., hailed as the King of Philippine Cinema, such as Tulad ng Eseng ng Tondo, Probinsyano, Kahit Konting Pagtingin, Sta. Quiteria, Kalibre 45 and Mahal San Ka Nanggaling Kagabi?

On top of these, Gomez was the man behind ABS-CBN television series Wansapanataym and Kampanerang Kuba.

Just recently, his works were brought to life yet again by ABS-CBN in film and television -- Petrang Kabayo and Juanita Banana, respectively.

Mutya, another one of Gomez' masterpieces, is part of the network's show lineup for next year. -- abs-cbnNEWS.com, report from Mario Dumaual, ABS-CBN News

'Run for Pasig' certified world's largest race

It's certified.

The prestigious Guinness World Records has officially declared the "10.10.10 A Run for the Pasig River" as the largest footrace event in the world.

The race, held last October 10, saw 116, 086 runners crossing the finish line with the aim of helping clean up the polluted Pasig River.

It has now overtaken the record by San Francisco’s "Bay to Breakers" race in 1988.

It also broke the official Philippine record of most number of runners in a foot race.

The race, which was organized by the ABS-CBN Foundation, had 3 race divisions - the 3k, 5k and 10k.

Local celebrities and national figures, including ABS-CBN honcho Eugenio "Gabby" Lopez III, ABS-CBN Foundation head Gina Lopez, Manny Pacquiao, and Piolo Pascual had joined the event.

Days before the race, Gina Lopez said she was confident the said run will break records.

She said participation in the race "will send the message that Filipinos care, and that united we can make a difference, and united, we can break world records. We all care about cleaning the river, so everybody should make things happen because this is the pulse of the nation.” – With reports from Dyan Castillejo, ABS-CBN News

Aga Muhlach is leaving ABS-CBN: source

Actor Aga Muhlach, a Kapamilya talent for 18 years, is transferring to network TV5.

A source, who refused to be named due to lack of authority to speak on the matter, told abs-cbnNEWS.com that Muhlach signed an exclusive contract with the rival network last week.

"Yes, he signed a contract last week. I can't say more because the announcement should be made first by TV5," the source said in Filipino.

The source also said the actor will start working for TV5 after the screening of his film with actress Angel Locsin. The upcoming movie is under ABS-CBN's movie outfit, Star Cinema.

"He might start working for the other network in March [2011] since he has to finish his movie with Angel," the source added.

ABS-CBN Corporate Communications head Bong Osorio declined to comment on the transfer, saying he will wait for Muhlach's camp to issue an official statement first.

Muhlach is the latest ABS-CBN talent to move to the rival network. Former Kapamilya big stars Ruffa Gutierrez, Dolphy, Maricel Soriano and are now TV5 talents.

Bea, Robin start taping for TV soap

Young actress Bea Alonzo has started taping for her upcoming project with action star Robin Padilla.

Alonzo told “Showbiz News Ngayon” that her forthcoming television series with Padilla is what keeps her busy nowadays.

She shared that she is extremely nervous to be working with Padilla but more than anything else, she is very much looking forward to the series since its story is something the viewers will love.

“I really love the script. Noong binasa ko, hindi ko siya mabitawan. Sobrang siksik na siksik at punong puno ‘yong first week,” she said.

According to Alonzo, what makes her more excited is the role she’ll be portraying.

“It’s something that hindi ko laging ginagawa. In that case, mas parang surprising. Mas refreshing tignan,” she related.

Rumors have it that Padilla personally chose Alonzo to be his next leading lady. When told about it, she said it made her happy.

“Na-flatter talaga ako sobra. Siguro na-visualize niya ‘yong character sa akin,” she said.

Meanwhile, when asked about her personal life, Alonzo refused to comment on speculations that she and hunk actor Zanjoe Marudo are getting closer.

“Good year nga ang 2010 no! Huwag na nating papangitin,” she exclaimed.

Aga Muhlach leaving ABS-CBN?

Is award-winning actor Aga Muhlach leaving ABS-CBN after 18 years of being a Kapamilya talent?

Citing unnamed sources, entertainment website Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) reported that TV5 executives are now talking to Muhlach's camp to discuss their offer.

While 3 of PEP sources claimed that it’s already a done deal, one source said it is still under negotiation.

Ethel Ramos, Muhlach’s talent manager, could only confirm to PEP that the actor has an offer from TV5.

Entertainment journalist Ricky Lo, on the other hand, reported that 4 celebrities from ABS-CBN will possibly move to the rival network. Lo, however, did not name these Kapamilya stars.

Up until today, Muhlach is maintaining his silence.

Former Kapamilya talents Ruffa Gutierrez, Maricel Soriano and Dolphy were among the network’s biggest stars who switched channels. Willie Revillame moved to TV5 despite his existing contract with ABS-CBN.

Claudine Barretto, meantime, transferred to GMA 7.

ABS-CBN Football Coverage Gets High Rating

We were pleasantly surprised and pleased at the television ratings of the first match in the Suzuki Cup semifinals between the Philippines and Indonesia staged in the 80,000 seat Bung Karno Stadium which was built in 1960 and is the tenth biggest football stadium in the world.

ABS-CBN’s top honcho Gabby Lopez instructed Vice President for Sports Peter Musngi to somehow get the Philippines games for telecast on Studio 23 after he realized the potential of the sport and the newfound public interest. No doubt interest was stirred by the quality with which we played the game and the roster of good looking young men who donned the country’s jersey.

Gabby Lopez was keen on giving substance to the philosophy of “In the service of the Filipino” in the arena of a sport long neglected in our hierarchy of interests. If the results of the telecast of Game 1 vs Indonesia is any criteria then he certainly made the right decision. But that would clearly never be enough. It cannot be a one-shot deal. ABS-CBN or any other TV network for that matter needs to follow through on what has been an initial breakthrough. The sport needs a well thought out and and sustained program to build on the gains achieved in the Suzuki Cup while at the same time shunning the internal struggles and debilitating politics of Philippine sport.

Indeed, a powerful TV network’s involvement and its persuasive influence in football is likely to help remove politics from the sport and to effectively stabilize the situation and allow the sport to grow because it is indeed in the service of the Filipino.

The ratings should also open the eyes of the members of the PBA board to the harsh reality of our present time and circumstance which shows that the pro league is not the attractive proposition it used to be, although teams like Ginebra, B Meg Derby Aces (Purefoods to many) and San Miguel Beer continue to spark interest and draw fans to the venue.

Overall however, the PBA board must realize that they don’t have a product that networks and advertisers will chase like they used to at a time when Vintage Enterprises Carlos “Bobong” Velez lifted the PBA telecast to unequalled heights over a long period of time behind a total dedication to producing a top class coverage.

The board also needs to appreciate the TV medium as it is today and not be swayed by unsubstantiated if not unintelligent claims that a UHF Channel like Studio 23 cannot match the reach or the audiences of a free TV channel like RPN 9. That misconception and a little additional money in terms of a franchise fee saw the board which had first indicated it would go with ABS-CBN turn around and award the coverage rights to Solar Sports.

Now, Solar Sports is negotiating with ABS-CBN as well as Manny Pangilinan’s ABC 5 to unload the PBA coverage in what must be regarded as a setback to the PBA itself no matter how you look at it. Given this situation, the PBA board under chairman Rene Pardo needs to come down a notch from its lofty position of yesteryear and engage interested networks with a reasonable negotiating posture.

The ratings of the football match last Thursday were, according to Musngi, “amazing.” While it is it true that this was effectively a one-shot deal, it must be considered against the reality that basketball is the country’s premier sport on TV and that football had failed to make a dent at all in the sporting consciousness of the Filipinos. However, a truly excellent print media coverage followed by attention by the major TV networks made a meaningful difference alongside the gallantry of our team on the field.

Imagine. The RP-Indon match on Studio 23 out-rated the PBA games the previous day. The PBA 1st game rated 1.0 percent and Game 2, 1.7 percent in Mindanao while football rated 1.8 percent. In the Visayas, the PBA rated 1.4 percent and 1.7 percent while the football match rated 4.4 percent. In Mega Manila the PBA rated 1.4 percent and 2.6 percent while football rated 3.0 percent. Finally, in the suburbs the PBA rated 1.6 percent and 3.5 percent in the triple overtime game between Meralco and Rain or Shine while the football basically on the main game timeslot rated 4.0 percent.

Figures tell the story. It may not be the whole picture but it certainly indicates that football has an exciting future and if PBA basketball is to revive the glory days, the board itself and the teams must imbibe the dynamism of youthful Commissioner Chito Salud whose grasp of the nuances and commitment to excellence will surely help pave the way for a turnaround. Time is off the essence and the PBA must launch a last second shot just like MacMac Cardona did in that triple overtime game realizing that if anything, time is not on their side.

Study reveals top 2010 most credible television endorsers

Celebrity endorsers continue to be a potent influencer in consumer purchases, as a study conducted by market research consulting company Synergy Business Consultancy revealed that 67% of its respondents bought a product or availed of a service due to a celebrity endorser. Topping the most credible celebrity endorsers this year is Manny Pacquiao, Venus Raj, and Vicky Belo.

The respondents are 1,000 males and females, aged 15-60 years old, from all socio-economic classes in Metro Manila. The study was conducted from September to October, 2010.

This year, Filipino boxing champion Manny Pacquiao continues to extend his influence not only to professional boxing but also to consumers. Same to Synergy’s 2009 study, 47% of respondents believe that he is a credible endorser. Following Pacquiao in the list is Vicky Belo, whose credibility rose 7% from 2009 to this year.

“If you’re in a controversy, it pays to be the aggrieved party. Such is the case with Vicky Belo and Kris Aquino. Much as a celebrity figured in a controversy, it seems that credibility to endorse may in fact be a good boost if he or she is considered the underdog. This is a very Filipino trait that we observe in our country,” said Germaine Reyes, Managing Director of Synergy. Kris Aquino made it into the top 10 this year, with 15% of respondents believing the host as an endorser.

Telenovelas prove to be a strong factor for building a credible endorser, as Angel Locsin, Gretchen Barretto, Angel Aquino, Derek Ramsey, and Cristine Reyes captured people’s attention this year. This does not count the actors and actresses’ role in the telenovela as even villains shared the limelight this year.

The study notes though that not all celebrities can effectively sell all products and services. In personal care products and services, only 31% of respondents believe that celebrities, socialites, or models make effective endorsers. Common people who have experienced using the product hold more credibility to endorse the brand compared to celebrities, with 44% of respondents accounting to this.

Ultimately, products or services that are “recommended by professionals” and “clinically-proven or dermatologically-tested” prove most effective in endorsing personal care products and services.

“In the case of personal care, other credible tests, personalities, or professionals, or fora can have more convincing power. It is thus necessary to understand how well suited it is to use celebrity endorsers in the context of the given product category, the category development and how established the brand is in that category,” concluded Reyes.

Synergy Business Consultancy is a full-service marketing research consulting company. The company is currently celebrating its 11th year in providing marketing-based, business solutions to a diverse industry, from fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) to service and business sectors.

Synergy works with its clients by obtaining a holistic view of their business, and contextualizing for and with them the research task and results, taking the bigger business reality into account. Synergy is also a member of ESOMAR and BPA/P.

Once again, viewers will be treated to world-class performances this time from monthly finalists “Big Trio,” “Kidz@Trix,” “89.9 Hoodz,” “Mama’s Boys,” “Lal-lo’s Blacklight Performers,” “Speed Movers Crew,” “Xtreme 24/7,” “Laoag City Gymnastics Group,” and “Zero Gravity,” the winner of this week’s Wild Card round.

Hosts Vhong Navarro, Anne Curtis, Kuya Kim Atienza, Jugs Jugueta, and Teddy Corpuz and resident judge Vice Ganda share the excitement of the madlang people as the day of reckoning for the groups approaches.

“Magagaling ang lahat ng grupo kaya siguradong mainit ang magiging labanan,” said Navarro.

Vice Ganda, meanwhile, has a reminder for the grand finalists.

Meanwhile, “Showtime” will also put a twist to Filipinos’ Christmas celebration with Christmas-themed episodes from Monday (Dec 20) to Saturday (Dec 25) featuring some of the biggest stars in the country.

ABS-CBN renews contract with FILSCAP

ABS-CBN renewed its contract with the Filipino Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers Inc. (FILSCAP) on Monday.

The contract allows the Kapamilya network to legally use the music composed by local and international artists for its programs.

Present during the contract signing were ABS-CBN channel head Cory Vidanes, Kedy Sanchez III, FILSCAP president Cesar Apostol and Ron Valdueza.

"We would like to thank ABS-CBN for recognizing the rights of the songwriters. Dapat kasi talaga ang mga songwriters ay bayaran sa kanilang mga musical works. We represent all local and foreign compositions so lahat ng music na ginagamit sa programs ng ABS-CBN ay covered na dito sa lisensiyang ito," said FILSCAP Board of Trustees chair Nonoy Tan.

According to its Web site, "FILSCAP is a non-stock, non-profit association of composers, lyric-writers and music publishers to administer the public performance, mechanical reproduction and synchronization rights granted by law to creators and owners of original musical works.

FILSCAP represents the rights of both local and foreign composers, lyric-writers and music publishers.

As such, FILSCAP owns or controls in the Philippines an extensive worldwide repertoire of copyrighted local and foreign musical works.

FILSCAP’s role is that of a unified body of music copyright owners to which application for a permission/license may be made by a person or organization intending to perform, authorize the performance of, mechanically reproduce and/or synchronize copyrighted music in any manner or by any method, for profit or otherwise."

Currently, FILSCAP has over 800 local members, including Ryan Cayabyab, Jose Mari Chan, Jim Paredes, Danny Javier, Rey Valera, Senator Tito Sotto and Vehnee Saturno.

Gerald excited to work with Jewel, Sarah

After 4 long years of teaming up with actress Kim Chiu, young actor Gerald Anderson said he is ready to be paired with new leading ladies.

During the house blessing ceremonies at his new home in General Santos City on Wednesday, Anderson shared his excitement over new projects with Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo and newest Kapamilya star Jewel Mische.

For 2011, The Fil-Am hottie is set to do a film with Geronimo and a primetime fantaserye titled "Bagwis" with Mische.

"Excited ako sa project at excited akong makatrabaho siya (Mische). Unang-una kasi, galing siyang GMA, and 'yun, lumipat siya sa atin. Kumbaga, it's a very exciting challenge," he told ABS-CBN News.

When asked how his and Chiu's fans--dubbed the Kimeralds--accepted this news, Anderson replied: "Sana by now handa na sila, hinanda na nila 'yung sarili nila. Pero feeling ko talaga, the Kimeralds will support me and Kim kahit hindi na kami magkasama and iyon ang maganda sa kanila."

The former "Pinoy Big Brother" (PBB) housemate also revealed he is quite pressured to break the box-office records of the films of John Lloyd Cruz and Geronimo, namely "A Very Special Love" and "You Changed My Life". But he is hopeful that their upcoming movie will draw overwhelming support from fans.

"It's a great honor para makatrabaho ko siya. It's a new opportunity to grow. Excited makatrabaho siya, sa big screen pa. Excited ako, sobra. 'Yung pressure, sa kahit anong project meron talaga, pero 'yung excitement, mas nasasapawan 'yung pressure. Kasi excited na talaga akong makatrabaho si Sarah," he added.

Charity event

As his way of giving back for the blessings he has received, the 21-year-old actor spearheaded a charity event at an orphanage in his hometown.

Together with his former PBB housemates and close friends, Anderson played basketball with the orphans of St. Gemma's Orphanage on Thursday.

The hunk actor became a young Santa Claus as he gave away Christmas presents to the less fortunate kids in General Santos City.

"Natutuwa ako kasi sobrang lahat sila masaya eh. Ako dito rin ako nanggaling. Ito 'yung pagkakataon ko para maibalik 'yung mga naitulong nila sa akin," he ended.

PSE, ABS-CBN subsidiary inks deal to boost investor education

The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) and ABS-CBN Broadcasting's Sarimanok News Network Inc. (SNN) recently inked an agreement to help boost investor awareness and capital market education.

Under the partnership, the PSE and SNN agreed to co-organize “The PSE Segment”, a 10-minute portion of ANC’s morning block programming aired weekly from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Fridays that will feature investor market education activities of the PSE.

Sam Milby leaving ABS-CBN?

Actor Sam Milby belied reports saying he is set to leave the Kapamilya network.

In an interview with "Showbiz News Ngayon", Milby said he was surprised to hear the said report.

The actor even stressed that he finds the latest news unbelievable.

"Ha? I find it surreal kasi sabi kumakalat na lilipat na. Hindi totoo," Milby said.

Currently, Milby is set to do another television series. He is also a mainstay in ABS-CBN's weekly variety show "ASAP XV".

Aside from Milby, actor Piolo Pascual was also haunted by intrigues saying he is also moving to another network.

But in a previous interview with abs-cbnNEWS.com, Pascual confirmed that there was no offer for him from rival network TV 5.

ABS-CBN Best Journalists Joined Forces in Krusada

From ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs, comes a program with the courage to take a stand and fight for change in the country— “Krusada.”

This Thursday (Dec 9) after “Bandila,” “Krusada” will start acting on and responding to the biggest and most pressing issues in each sector of society, spearheaded by the best and veteran journalists of ABS-CBN such as Ted Failon, Ces Drilon, Henry Omaga-Diaz, Lynda Jumilla, Gus Abelgas, Dyan Castillejo, Karen Davila, Julius Babao, and Noli “Kabayan” De Castro.

“We don’t effect change with words alone. Sometimes, we have to take a stand. ABS-CBN journalists are ready to become true agents of change and it is through ‘Krusada’ that they can push for their own advocacies for the Filipino people,” said ABS-CBN Head for News and Current Affairs Ging Reyes.

This is why in the first airing of “Krusada,” Ces Drilon will tackle an issue that is especially close to her heart—the issue on reproductive health. Drilon visited Fabella Hospital, a hospital in Manila renowned for delivering babies. Here she met Aling Zeny who has given birth to her tenth child. Zeny said that she didn’t want another child after their last. However, they had no access to contraceptives.

Drilon also went to Baseco, Manila where she met Evelyn who was pregnant with her eighth child. The mother doubts as to whether they can still send their children to college. Meanwhile, another mother, Marissa is pregnant with her seventh child and plans to have her child adopted the moment she gives birth.

Their different narratives show the need for a more effective and comprehensive family planning program. A reproductive health program that will protect the women and the children is Drilon’s crusade for the country.

Advocacy journalism that gives a clear standpoint and concrete action—this is what “Krusada” is all about. Because true public service is propelled by action, not merely words.

Watch out for the airing of “Krusada” this Thursday night (Dec 9), after “Bandila” on ABS-CBN.

Piolo Pascual denies rumors of getting offers from another network

Piolo Pascual denied recent claims that he was offered to transfer to another TV network and stressed that he is happy being a Kapamilya. “I signed up with Channel 2. I’m with (ABS-CBN). Unfair din naman to comment about that. I’m very much a Kapamilya. I’ve been a Kapamilya all my life,” the actor explained at the press conference of his recent endorsement, Real Leaf Green Tea, with KC Concepcion on December 6, Monday.

Piolo reasoned out that one reason some people suspect him of shifting networks is because many celebrities are changing loyalties nowadays. “Maraming taong naglilipat ng network wala namang makakaiwas d’yan, eh. I remember before my soap (Noah) came out, a couple of months ago may ganun na ring talks na susundan ko raw si Clau (Claudine Barretto). May offer ako sa kabila but you know, just the same, wala namang nangyayari.”

The actor also denied claims that he was seen within the premises of TV 5 with friend Direk Joyce Bernal. He stressed that there never was an offer from the said television station and that he is content with his current home network and with the success of his teleserye.

Piolo explained also that he is pretty excited to start shooting his next film project with Kim Chiu as his leading lady. He shared that the team had a brainstorming already and are hoping that they will start filming this January.

The actor was also beaming at his latest beverage endorsement because this is his reunion with rumored girlfriend KC after their last TV project, Lovers In Paris. He and KC considers this endorsement a blessing because this is their first endorsement together. Aside from them, real life couple Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes, were also chosen as endorsers and were present at the event.

Jewel Mische, Official Kapamilya na!

Bong Osorio, head of the ABS-CBN Corporate Communications, confirmed that Kapuso Jewel Mische, ex-girlfriend of Richard Gutierrez, is now a certified Kapamilya. Her break-up with Richard must have prompted Jewel to leave GMA for ABS-CBN, just like what Karylle did when she broke up with Dingdong Dantes.

Here’s Bong’s official statement:

ABS-CBN warmly welcomes Jewel Mische to its roster of stars. Being attached to a network is a matter of choice. We believe that ABS-CBN continues to be the preferred multi-media company of most big names in show business who choose to remain Kapamilya despite offers and poaching attempts from other groups. Many of them have been homegrown stars who have remained with us for years.

Ted Failon, Startled With Kris Aquino's Invitation

Actress and television host Kris Aquino on Tuesday invited broadcast journalist Ted Failon for a dinner date.

The Queen of All Media caught veteran news anchor Failon flat-footed during a live interview on TV Patrol.
...
Failon was asking Kris, a younger sister of President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III, on the status of her annulment case against estranged husband, cager James Yap, and her movie “Dalaw,” which is an entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival set to start late December.

“Kris, may dumadalaw ba sa iyo ngayon?” Failon asked.

“Sa akin? Ted, baka naman mahimatay ka kapag sagutin ko 'yan na ang madalas ko lang kausap, ikaw,” she replied.

Kris said she and Failon are textmates. “Di ba may dinner tayo in 2 weeks? Ted, na-speechless ka na. Hello Ted? Bumangon ka, bumangon ka. Ted, in-on the spot ka nila, alam nila na ganito ang mangyayari. Ibubuking kita sa lahat.”

A partial transcript of her interview:

Ted: Itong “Dalaw” muna Kris, “Dalaw” na pelikula, Kris.

Kris: Dalaw mo, Ted. Puwede ba kitang anyayahan para magtabi kayo ni 'Noy? Malay mo maging brother-in-law mo siya in the future?

T: Kabayan, puwede dito ka na?

K: Ano Ted, payag ka? Na-speechless po si Ted Failon.

T: Ha? Hindi naman ako maselan eh.

K: Ha ha ha ha ha!

T: Kris, doon sa “Dalaw” na pelikula mo. Di ba horror ‘to? Tinakot mo na kami eh.

K: Yes, Ted. Tinakot kita Ted.

Niyayaya kitang ka-date, tinanggihan mo naman ako, too bad.

T: December 19, tingnan ko muna kalendaryo ko Kris, ah.

Gag order welcomed

Kris, on a more serious topic, welcomed a court’s decision to issue a gag order on her and Yap preventing them both on speaking on the annulment case.

“I got it Friday, Ted. Nakuha ko noong Friday and it’s welcome for all of us kasi, I’m sorry to say this, ah pero alam mo naman diretso lang ako, hindi naman ako ‘yong obsessed magpa-interview,” she said.

She added that she will comply with the court order.

“I’m very happy about it because the gag order is for all of us. Ang ibig sabihin niyan, hindi lang ako kundi pati sila. Eh sila naman ‘yong matapatan lang ng microphone at ng camera salita na ng salita,” she said.

Kris also said that her brother, the President, also slapped a similar “gag order” on her regarding his lovelife. “Mas takot ako sa gag order ni PNoy.”

“Ted, alam mo naman di ba na pinagbawalan ako ni Noy na pag-usapan ang buhay pag-ibig niya? Unang una na lang siguro dahil he is 11 years older than me, pangalawa dahil siguro siya na nga ang Pangulo natin, bigyan natin siya ng katahimikan,” she said.

Kris, however, said Aquino may bring a date with him on December 19 during the premiere night of her film at Trinoma.

“Tingnan na lang natin kung sinong date ang dadalahin niya. Kung sino man ang dalhin niya sa 'Dalaw', ‘yon na ang ibig sabihin noon, handa siyang ipakilala sa buong Pilipinas.”
