'Guns and Roses' cast pressured to follow success of 'Mara Clara'?

The lead stars of ABS-CBN’s upcoming series "Guns and Roses" are confident that they can give the audience a story that they will definitely love.

During the grand press conference of the upcoming show on Tuesday, actress Bea Alonzo admitted that she is feeling the pressure that their show will replace the top rating series "Mara Clara."

She, however, stressed that the pressure could not make her, and the rest of the cast, work any less.

"Medyo kinakabahan po but we try not to think about the pressure. After all, at the end of the day, iyon naman ang nagma-matter. We're confident about doon sa nagawa namin. We're confident doon sa puwede naming i-offer,: she said.

This was affirmed by action star Robin Padilla.

Padilla acknowledged how "Mara Clara" made an impact in many viewers' lives, but emphasized that the audience should see what "Guns and Roses" has to offer.

"Mara Clara, legend na iyan, history na iyan. Pero pinapangako po namin sa inyo na buong puso po namin, buong lakas naming ibibigay ang lahat sa 'Guns and Roses' at ang partner po namin ay Star Cinema," he said.

Padilla added that the production staff of "Guns and Roses" are doing their best to meet high expectations.

"Guns and Roses" is set to air on ABS-CBN starting June 6 after "100 Days to Heaven."
